This is the first step for anyone interested in learning about sailing. No experience is needed for this level and it's also well suited for those who have been away from the sport for a while. During the program you will learn about weather, chart reading, docking, knot tying, anchoring, emergency maneuvers, and of course sailing skills! All of our instructors have extensive training and experience. At Nautical Escapes we are always striving to improve our teaching methods so that you can have the most fun and rewarding experience as possible! We are also the only school that offers this program in a minimum of 32 hours! This extra time is vital to help you achieve the
CYA's "BASIC CRUISING STANDARD".

$ 950 for the 2 weekend exended course or just $525 for our one weekend condensed course.

The Bareboating Licence
This is the next applied course after your Basic level. In this course you will learn about larger sailboat handling, docking, anchoring, using more complex systems, living aboard, provisioning for a trip, applied navigation, general maintenance, port entry procedures, plus you'll get the chance to fine tune your sailing skills! Once successfully completed, the CYA INTERMEDIATE CRUISING STANDARD will give you the qualifcations to be a bareboat charter skipper that is recognized nation-wide and also internationally.

BOATING SAFETY AND PCOC
(THE BOATERS LICENCE)
We are offering a one-day 4hr safe boating
course with the "Pleasure Craft Operators Card" exam. This is a national
mandate to get every boater in Canada some training and knowledge before
heading out on the water. And it's the LAW. Topics will include basic chart
reading, bouyage systems, dealing with emergencies, basic weather info, and
required saftey equipment.
If you are experienced or ready to take the exam, you can challange
the exam for just $35 (CALL OR EMAIL TO BOOK A CHALLENGE TEST). Courses are
run on Sundays 5:30pm-8:30pm

(includes exam) OR just pay $35 to challenge the exam
